| Aged Parent (Subclass 804) Visa |

This visa is suitable for a person in Australia who is old enough to be granted an Australian aged pension and who meets the balance of the family test.
There are several requirements that applicants must meet in order to be considered for an Aged Parent Visa
The applicant must be ‘aged’, that is old enough to receive an aged pension.
In Australia, this requires males to be aged 65 years and over, and females to be aged 63 years and older.
The applicant must meet the Balance of Family Test.
At least half of the applicant’s children settled in Australia.
OR
The applicant has more children settled in Australia that any single overseas country.
All children (including step children and adopted children) will be included in the Balance of Family Test.
The applicant can be sponsored by a settled child, child’s spouse or guardian.
There is a mandatory assurance of support bond and health charge to be paid.
