This Visa is designed for Students who do not want to undertake a full time course that leads to an Australian educational award. It is for Students who wish to undertake a foundation, bridging or other courses that do not lead to the award of a degree, diploma or other formal award.
To qualify for a Non-award Student Visa, you must be able to satisfy the basic Visa requirements. The basic Visa criteria are that you are enrolled in a registered course, you have adequate English language ability, you have the financial means to support yourself and you have appropriate overseas student health insurance cover during your stay in Australia.
As the holder of a Student Visa, you have the right to live and study in Australia. In some circumstances, you may be allowed to apply for permission to work up to 20 hours a week part time during term periods and full time in the vacation periods.
